To transfer a confirmed entry in the Santa Barbara Triathlon from one party to another, you need to:

1. Complete and send in by 8/14/09.
2. Select Transfer Category below.
3. Fill out all fields in the form!
4. Go to step 3.
5. Print page and mail in with payment.
6. Transfer form without payment will not be accepted and will be returned.
7. Transfers are NOT Gender or Age Specific!
8. ENTRIES CANNOT BE TRANSFERED TO THE NEXT YEAR

We recommend that the old owner negotiate with the new owner for any compensation they feel is due as part of the transfer agreement. However, we do not allow the resale of triathlon entries for profit. Anyone known to have done so will not be allowed to participate in future events.

We will only honor the transfer request if ALL of the following conditions are met:

1. We receive the transfer in our office by 5:00 pm on Friday August 10, 2009. Late requests will be returned.

2. All transfer, upgrade and USA Triathlon fees are included.

3. The signature of the old owner is on the form.

4. We are able to confirm the transfer with the old owner via telephone or email.

We reserve the right to decline any transfers that we feel are not appropriate. We also reserve the right to decline sprint to long or a long to sprint transfer if there is no room in the desired event.

Transfer Fee: There is a $25 transfer fee.

Sprint Course To Long Course Upgrade Fee (only if space is available): Since the Long Course entry fee is $50 more, there is an addition $50 "upgrade fee" if the old owner paid for the sprint course and the new owner wishes to do the long course.

Long Course To Sprint Course Transfers: Since the Long Course entry fee is $50 more the Transfer Fee of $25 will be waived. New owner and old owner can negotiate the price paid for the transfer of the slot.

USAT Fees: If the old owner paid any USA Triathlon single-day license fees ($10 each), those are also transferable, but not refundable. If the old owner did not pay that fee and the new owner is not a USA Triathlon member you must include that fee with this transfer.
